Summary: The story revolves around Mahiro Fuwa, a teenager whose sister was mysteriously murdered one year before, and his friend Yoshino Takigawa. Mahiro is contacted by Hakaze Kusaribe, the leader of the Kusaribe clan who was left stranded on an unknown deserted island by her followers, and agrees to help Hakaze in exchange for her help to find out the culprit for the death of his family. Upon learning of his friend's intentions, Yoshino joins him on his quest to stand against the Kusaribe clan who intends to awaken the "Tree of Exodus" whose power can bring ruin to the entire world.

My review: A wild collision of two Sharspear's works - Hamlet and Tempest - with a Japanese animation twist on it. There is a lot going on in the show, the story progressing quickly and goes a long way since the beginning. The is magic, friendship, cult, pain, desperation, and love in it. I loved this show so much, especially the time travel part, although I think it could have been much and much better it they would just choose the target audience more clearly and make the anime for a specific age group. It touches very serious and dark themes but from time to time characters act out of character, too immature and animeish. In short, if it wasn't for fan service, it would be a much more solid show.

Summary:  One thousand years have passed since the Seven Days of Fire, an apocalyptic war that destroyed human civilization and gave birth to the vast Toxic Jungle,[Note 1] a forest swarming with giant mutant insects in which everything is lethal to humans. Scattered settlements exist wherever the Toxic Jungle relents. The Valley of the Wind is one such settlement. The Valley's settlers have a prophecy about a person, "clothed in blue robes, descending onto a golden field, to join bonds with the great earth and guide the people to the pure lands at last".

My review: As one of the early works of a master Hayao Miyazaki, The Valley of The Wind lives up to glory of its legendary creator. However, for me, as always, it was a little hard to watch an older anime, where the imperfections are more умшвуте due to the lower lever of technology development thirty years ago. But putting that aside, great story, nice character development, and Miyazaki's spirit are all present here no doubt. Great watch for true connoisseurs of old school animation and fans of Miyazaki's works.

Summary:  After the wall which protects Eren's hometown is breached by Titans, including the 60-meter skinless Colossus Titan and the abnormally intelligent Armored Titan, a young Eren suffers the death of his mother at the hands of a Titan. Once Eren and his friends are evacuated from the district to safety, he vows revenge against all Titans and later enlists in the military, accompanied by Mikasa and Armin. After a period of grueling training, the three elect to join the Survey Corps which would allow them to leave the safety of the walls and fight the Titans one-on-one.

My review: Disturbing but extremely addicting.  
At first I was as skeptical as ever. Frankly, the show didn't look that appealing or sound very original to me. I thought I was going to be just the next cliche distopian anime, as there are a lot of similar anime out there. Demons, aliens, gigantic insects, you name it are attacking the human race and poor pathetic humans are fighting against them. Sounds familiar? Well, dah! So what makes this show so special then? Good question.
It might be the agonising suspence that is carried out throughout the whole series, or the cliff dropper episode endings, making you click the button to watch the next episode immedietly, or maybe it's unbearable desire to find out the truth, because the further you watch there more questions you get. As I was watching the characters to take one step forward but to meet only defeat I couldn't help but cheer for them. There is a lot of blood, violence, and death in the Titans. Waching another unfortunate fellow be eaten by a titan was making me wince. But I learned early on not to get too attached in this show.
I'm looking forward to the second season hoping it will meet my high expectations. It would be such a waste to ruin this great show.

Summary: Yashiro Isana has lived a relatively ordinary, simple life. He lives in the technology-advanced Shizume City and attends Ashinaka High School, a notable high school that is located on an island just outside the areas. Yashiro is friendly with everyone. Nothing ever seems wrong about him, except perhaps his habit of forgetting where his school-issued PDA is. However, nothing normal has been happening since the recent murder of Tatara Totsuka, prominent member of the infamous HOMRA. No one knows who exactly killed him but the man responsible bears an uncanny, identical appearance to Yashiro. Seeking vengeance, the Red Clansmen of HOMRA set out to get Yashiro and kill him. Everyone suspects that Yashiro is the murderer. But whether he is guilty or not is unclear.

My review: Frankly, I practically made myself finish this one, hoping there will be some depth to the story or the characters but.. alas! The characters wouldn't go far from typical stereotypes, the story and the world was not very well explained either in my opinion. On the bright side, there were some really cool fight scenes, especially with the guy on the skateboard. That deserves a special praise. Would I watch it again? No. Will I watch the next season? Only if I'm bored out of my mind.

Recommend: No, there are much better series out there

Summary:
The series takes place in the year "NC 1978" in a fictional, re-imagined version of New York City called Sternbild City, where 45 years before, superpowered individuals known as "NEXT" started appearing and some of them became superheroes. Each of the city's most famous superheroes work for a sponsor company and their uniforms also contain advertising for real-life companies. Their heroic activity is broadcast on the popular television show "Hero TV", where they accumulate points for each heroic feat accomplished (arresting criminals or saving civilians, for example) and the best ranked hero of the season is crowned "King of Heroes".

My review:
 
Yeah, superhero anime! How insane is that? Truthfully, I nearly choked on my drink when I saw this anime's post, but it turned out to be not so bad after all. The characters were funny, the story was pretty interesting. I didn't really like how they combined 2D and 3D together. My eyes did hurt when I was watching it. I guess it's all true what they write it the beginning of every anime about not to watch it in the dark room. Who knows...

Summary: Hiromichi Kojima, the star batter of the Lycaons, heads to Okinawa to train and bring himself out of a slump. There, he meets Toua Tokuchi, a 110~128 km/h (68~80 mph) pitcher and the undisputed king of a gambling form of baseball called "One Outs". At Kojima's urging, Tokuchi signs up with the Lycaons. His contract, the 'One Outs contract', differs from the usual, though, in that he gets 5,000,000 yen for every out he pitches, but loses 50,000,000 yen for every run he gives up.


My review:
I dicided to write while I'm still under impression after watching this great anime show. I must admit I was pretty skeptical at first, after reading about One Outs and how people could compared it to Death Note or Code Geass. Yes, I was thinking how could possibly some sport anime be compared to a living legend that Death Note is. Well, it turned out it can, if the protagonist is no other that Tokuchi Toua. Just imagine for a second if Light and L would play baseball together? Of course Toua is no Light and it is actually not a bad thing at all. Toua is a genius gambler with a great ability to understand the thought process of other people by reading their gestures, way of speaking, personalty. But the best thing is he knows how to use it, so he manipulates them, playing with their minds, and destroying his opponents from within. I was sitting on the edge of my chair the whole time waiting for more twist and turns of a plot. There is no such feeling as that trill you feel. I wish there were more show like this. Thank you, Mad House, for making Death Note and now One Outs for us!




Recommend: For everyone even if you know nothing of baseball

Summary: The story takes place in an ideal city known as "No. 6". Shion, a boy raised in the elite and privileged environment of his home, gives shelter to another boy, who only gives his name as 'Nezumi' (Meaning mouse or Rat) on the former's 12th birthday. After spending a rainy night with his new friend, Shion discovers the next morning that Nezumi has disappeared without a trace. Four years later, Shion experiences a spate of incidents around him in which a deadly infection by parasitic bees causes its victims to age rapidly. Shion's co-worker is one of the victims and Shion is arrested on suspicion of murder. While Shion is being transported to the Correctional Institute, Nezumi appears and rescues him. Shion begins to find out the hidden truth behind the Ideal City No.6


My review:
I loved it. I watched No. 6 a couple of times already. Lots of people are debating whether it is shounen ai or not? Was it just friendship or something more between Nezumi and Shion? I believe everyone can think whatever they want. And it doesn't really matter because you wouldn't even be bothered with such small details when you get into the world of No. 6. Amazing animation, unique drawing style, colorful backgrounds, and dynamic story line made this anime a big success.

Summary:The story starts with teenager Shinpachi Shimura who is saved from a group of aliens attacking him by the samurai Gintoki Sakata. Shinpachi is amazed with Gintoki and decides to start working with him as a freelancer in order to learn "the ways of the samurai" while he helps Gintoki in work to pay the monthly rent from where he lives. Both also meet Kagura, a young female alien who belongs to the Yato Clan, one of the strongest Amanto races. The three of them become known as "Yorozuya" and while they work as freelancer, they also come to meet Gintoki's former comrades during the Amanto's invasion such as the terrorist Kotaro Katsura as well as Shinsuke Takasugi, a major antagonist throughout the series. They also encounter several times the police force Shinsengumi, who normally ally with Yorozuya in their works, since they commonly involve dangerous criminals.


My review:
Gintama is my favorite anime in comedy genre. It's very unique. I have never have seen anything like it. The characters are making fun of their own show as well as mocking the other anime shows. It is very bizarre, inappropriate at times, with practically not plot whatsoever, hilarious mess of a comedy.




Recommend: Definitely the one to check out

Summary:
Ichigo Kurosaki is a teenager gifted with the ability to see spirits. When Rukia is severely wounded defending Ichigo from the Hollow, she attempts to transfer half of her spiritual pressure energy to Ichigo so that he can defeat the Hollow. However, Ichigo takes almost all of her energy, transforming into a Soul Reaper, With her powers diminished, Rukia is left stranded in the human world until she can recover her strength. In the meantime, Ichigo must take over Rukia's role as a Soul Reaper, battling Hollows and guiding souls to the afterlife realm known as the Soul Society.

My review:
Bleach is of the "Three Whales" of anime as I call them. Those three right now are Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. They have been on air every week for years and it doesn’t seem like either one is going to end any time soon which if probably a good thing, right? But the problem with such mega popular anime is that the creators are trying to make as much as they can out of it causing story line to suffer. Sometimes they add so called fillers to give time for manga story line progress further. This is very understandable but not less annoying for fans. That is one of the reasons I don’t watch Naruto Shippuden right now and waiting for it to end first as I mentioned in earlier posts. Bleach on the other hand is one of those rare cases when I actually enjoyed watching fillers. They are well thought through and hold the same easygoing atmosphere.

Bleach is really easy to watch and you get hooked right away. It is very funny anime with great fighting, extraordinary characters, and alternative view on afterlife where shinigami (gods of death) are vs. Hollows in a way representing good vs. evil. It was really interesting to get to know the characters and their special abilities and bankai. When I first saw Orihime’s powers I remember thinking “Fairies? Seriously?! You gotta be kidding…” It was a little weird at first but I got used to it eventually. I found myself enjoying watching it and wanting to watch more and more. So don’t hesitate if you have never seen it before and try it but be prepared to spend some time because we are talking about hundreds of episodes here. Have fun!

Summary:

The people of this world have dubbed these warriors "Claymores" based on their swords. They are also referred to as "Silver Eyed Witches", based on their appearance and seemingly cold nature toward others. Each Claymore has a rank number which is based on their strength and ability.


My review:
Claymore is a great anime if you are in the mood for dark fantasy. Beautiful blond silver eyed ladies fighting monsters and sometimes each other using swords. Some blood in it but in this case it’s justified. Add to that nice story and a pinch of angst and you will get delishious dish called Craymore which is best served cold. All I can say I really liked it and I just might watch it again sometime.

Summary:

It is revealed that in Shiki's family, certain members of her family possess two distinct personalities, both aware and conscious of one another, but possessing different qualities. The dual consciousness, and Shiki's upbringing as a demon hunter, has caused to reject other human beings...



My review:
Garden of Sinners has very high quality animation which is very pleasing to an eye. It was one of the best thing about anime. The are a lot of fighting and blood. To tell you the truth I watched it because if was beautifully drawn and animation was well made. I wasn't so interested in the story and neither did I like characters. It's not for everyone.

Summary:
The series follows Sousuke Sagara, a member of a covert anti-terrorist private military organization known as Mithril, tasked with protecting Kaname Chidori, a spirited Japanese high school girl. He moves to Japan to study at Chidori's school, Jindai High School, with assistance from his comrades Kurz Weber and Melissa Mao. Having never experienced social interactions, Sousuke is found as a military maniac by his schoolmates as he interprets everyday situations from a combat perspective. He comes to relate with Chidori who realizes that Sousuke is protecting her, but he does not reveal the reasons due to orders as well as the fact he does not know why Chidori is being targeted by different organizations.

My review:
Funny, sweet, and easy to watch comedy about army maniac Sagara and a girl he needs to protect named Kaname Chidori. I had fun watching it and the interactions between main characters were very much entertaining. Did I like it? Oh, yes. Would I watch it again? Probably not. But it was definitely worth my time.


Recommend:
If you are looking for some romance comedy then it's for you.

When he arrives at the school, he soon discovers that Yokai Academy is a secret school for supernatural monsters and mythological creatures disguised as humans, and any human who finds out about its existence will be killed without mercy. Realizing this, Tsukune fears for his life, thinking that his admission into Yokai Academy is a mistake. His luck soon changes when he quickly becomes friends with the beautiful Moka Akashiya, who turns out to be a vampire attracted to the sweet taste of his blood...

My review:
 Monsters, vampires, big boobs, and panties. You name it. Even though I'm not a fan of ecchi genre but this one is pretty good. I had some good laugh and some of the girls weren't so bad. If you are a fan of ecchi then this one is definitely for you. And if you are not it's still worth a try.

Summary:
A young lady named Fuu is working as a waitress in a tea house when she is harassed by a band of ruffians. Another customer, Mugen, offers to take care of them in exchange for food, but ends up instigating a brawl. Jin, a stoic young ronin in samurai garb, enters the tea house in the midst of the fight. Mugen attacks Jin after he proves to be a worthy opponent and they begin fighting one another, ignoring a fire that started during the brawl. They both faint from smoke inhalation. When they awaken, they find they have been arrested for the murder of Shibui Tomonoshina, the magistrate's son who had burned to death in the fire, and are to be executed. With help from Fuu, they escape and Fuu asks them to travel with her to find "the samurai who smells of sunflowers," a mysterious man Fuu can give little description of, but whom she insists she must find. They agree to join her, with Fuu making only one condition: they are not to duel one another until the journey is done.

My review:
Very well done. I like characters and plot. Very interesting. Animation was quite impressing. I liked how animators used very odd angles for some shots. It added to animation. Loved Mugen's fighting style. The ending though was a bit disappointing. I expected something more but beggars aren't choosers, right?

My review:
Very beautiful colorful drawing style. Lots of cute boys and this anime is just a dream for a yaoi fans. There is no yaoi in it but it was made to be SO slash-able!! So many hints of shounen-ai!!! So yeah,  I enjoyed it a lot! I guess they didn't make it shounen-ai so that boys could enjoy this too and I know many guys who've seen 07 Ghost.

For slashers and shounen-ai and yaoi fans

My review:
Well, it was pretty good. I liked all that alchemist theme and Philosopher's Stone and all but somehow I got a bit bored. I made myself to watch it till the end and I really liked the ending (and the fact that it finally ended). I even wanted to watch the next season but decided to wait for awhile. The plot is really good. I know the reasons why I wasn't attached to it. But I know a lot of people like it and I can see why but I guess it's just not my thing )))

You should definitely try it.

Summary:
The story takes place on the same world as Final Fantasy V, named Planet R, set two hundred years in the future, where three of the four crystals have been stolen. The original heroes in Final Fantasy V are now legends of the past, and a new evil, Deathgyunos, has risen on the Black Moon and must be dealt with. Mid, a recurring character from Final Fantasy V, contacts a new hero and heroine: Prettz (Pritz) and Linaly (a descendant of Bartz). They eventually meet the sky pirate Rouge and Commander Valcus, commander of The Iron Wing.


My review:
Ok. The graphics were just amazing! I can't complain about that! BUT it was too Hollywoodish that's for sure! I had a felling that I'm watching some Hollywood movie rather than an anime ((( Oh well ))

Summary:
Naruto Uzumaki is a young boy who has the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed within him. Twelve years before the start of the series, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked the ninja village Konohagakure, slaughtering many people. In response, the leader of Konohagakure – the Fourth Hokage – sacrificed his life to seal the demon inside his own son Naruto when he was a newborn. Konohagakure, however, regarded Naruto as if he were the demon fox itself and mistreated him throughout most of his childhood. A decree made by the Third Hokage forbade anyone mention the attack of the demon fox to anyone. Years later, Naruto was tricked by the renegade ninja Mizuki into stealing a forbidden scroll, but was stopped by his teacher, Iruka Umino. That encounter made Naruto realize he was the container of the demon fox.

My review:
I love Naruto. Now I can see why it is so popular. I took me awhile to get into all that ninja stuff and now I'm completely cool with that. It got so intense starting from 110 but too bad it didn't last long. If not all the fillers(which are 80 episodes) I would give it an A+. I bet Naruto fans agree with me on that one. But things the way they are so can't do much about it. I love Kakashi! He is one of the funny elements in Naruto. I think I will LOVE Naruto even more when it's over because it has been dragging on for so long now in Naruto Shippuden and I simply don't have enough patience to wait for episode every week. I'll watch the whole thing again when it's over. But anyway I'd say go for it. I know kids love it. I was talking to my 10 year old nephew using Naruto language and I was given that look from his father as if I'm insane. If poor guy doesn't know what is SHARINGAN or BYAKUGAN mean it's not my fault, right? He just doesn't get it...

The Reborn! story revolves around a boy named Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada, who is chosen to become the Vongola Family's boss due to him being the great-great-great grandson of the first Vongola boss, who had moved to Japan from Italy during his time. Also, the other candidates for the position of the head of the Vongola Family died. For these reasons, Tsuna is the only remaining heir. As such, Timoteo a.k.a. "Vongola IX," the current head of the family, sends Reborn, an infant hitman from Italy, to train Tsuna. Tsuna then unwillingly undergoes training from Reborn. Reborn's main method of teaching Tsuna is the "Dying Will Bullet" ("Deathperation Shot" in Viz Media's translation of the manga), which will make the person be "reborn" with a stronger self intent on fulfilling his dying will. Through his experiences, Tsuna unconsciously becomes stronger and more confident, which ultimately makes him better suited as the Vongola Family's boss despite continuing to reject his Mafia inheritance.

My review:
I absolutely LOVE it. I don't remember the last time I got so emotionally involved in anime since my I was watching Sailor moon as a kid. It really reminded me of how kids get exited about things and I felt like a child one more time! The first season was got me warmed up and prepared to the second which is my favorite so far! I'll write about 3rd and 4th later when the 5th will end(even though it barely started) cause they are all linked together. Great characters and humor. They really make Mafia theme work in my opinion. Plot is very dynamic which is great. I liked that there weren't a lot of "fillers". Only a little in first season but it wasn't too bad. It got more and more interesting with each arc. Very recommended.
